Visionaire & New Tendency
From 9 to 26 August, we are proud to present the preview of the Visionaire Magazines Online Only Auction of the Michael Michalsky Collection in the window of Fasanenstrasse 27 in Berlin in cooperation with the Berlin design studio NEW TENDENCY.
The New York fashion and art magazine VISIONAIRE was launched in 1991 and has since served as a source of inspiration and playground for the most influential creatives of our time. The strictly limited edition magazines are a mirror of contemporary culture and break down the boundaries between art, fashion and design. Fashion houses like Louis Vuitton and Hermès collaborate with photographers like Jürgen Teller, Ellen von Unwerth and David LaChapelle; creative luminaries like Karl Lagerfeld and David Bowie curate artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Wolfgang Tillmans, Tony Oursler, Tracey Emin, Elizabeth Peyton and Cindy Sherman. A colourful firework of unique visionary inventiveness.
NEW TENDENCY transfers modernist design principles to contemporary everyday objects. In the tradition of Bauhaus, NEW TENDENCY creates products that are characterised by conceptual design, clear aesthetics and functional form, handmade in Germany. The collection of furniture and accessories is created under the artistic direction of Manuel Goller.
