About the auction

Another high point for our anniversary auctions is the Berliner Sparkasse Collection. Select works from this multi-faceted collection from the 1990s will come under the hammer; these top-notch works are a reflection of one of Berlin’s most exciting historical periods: the city’s re-unification after the fall of the Iron Curtain and the spirit of new beginnings that was part of it. Highlights of this collection are works by Maria Lassnig, Neo Rauch, Christo, Markus Lüpertz and Per Kirkeby.
