About the auction

After the successful sale of the first part of the superb Expressionist collection of Adalbert and Thilda Colsman at Grisebach in 2016, the second part is a highlight of our Summer Auctions in Berlin. Seventy works assembled by Thilda Colsman and her husband Adalbert, who was the brother of Gertrud Osthaus, respectively brother-in-law of Karl Ernst Osthaus, will be featured in their own dedicated auction.

Masterworks by Emil Nolde, Otto Dix, Christian Rohlfs, Lyonel Feininger, August Macke, Ewald Mataré and others will be auctioned off.
