"Zabriskie Point (Antonioni, Monroe, Manson, etc.). The photo appeared on the cover of the vinyl album “The Joshua Tree” – and was my most famous picture for years. The impression that U2 gave – a band that takes life and itself far too seriously – was something we were only able to dispel, at least in part, years later with the recordings for “Achtung Baby”."
