We are fascinated by the modernity and vitality of the 19th century.
Our focus is on the art of Romanticism, particularly in Dresden and the North German countries. In addition, we focus on the freshness and immediacy of oil studies. We contrast them with the individual, often symbolist expressions of the fin-de-siècle whose modernity is hardly surprising.
Our selection invites you on an exciting journey of discovery through the worlds of art on the way to Modernism.
