Jökulgil near Landmannalaugar "The sheep drive at Landmannalaugar lasts about a week. This is followed by two more searches in case any sheep have been left behind. I have driven there several times to watch the sheep drivers at work. This always provides opportunities for good photos. This picture was taken in a gorge that is only accessible by car in autumn when the rivers are low. Nevertheless, I got my car stuck in the ford and broke the front-wheel drive. So I walked up the mountains to capture panoramic images of this magnificent landscape." (quoted from: Op.cit. (Reykjavìk 2005), p. 145)
