Literature and illustration

Jeff Rian: Lewis Baltz. Berlin 2001, p. 113 (there as a light box on the wall of a building, titled and dated: Pst! (für Luxemburg), Luxemburg 1995) / Jeane von Oppenheim: 10 Jahre Sammlung Sal. Oppenheim 10 Years Collection, 1997 - 2007, Luxemburg 2007, p. 417

"Baltz had this poster modeled after a 'Do Not Disturb' sign he had seen in a hotel in Sarajevo. He used it to create a light box with an image of a man with his finger to his lips, as if to say 'Pst.' The subliminal message, largely unnoticed, was a call to the residents of Luxembourg, which was the European Capital of Culture in 1995, to be quiet. It was a “do not disturb” sign for commerce, financial transactions, and the economy of privilege. Here, it calls on nighttime strollers to be quiet." (quoted from: Op.cit (Berlin 2001), p. 112)
