Condition Report: Fine, harmonious overall appearance. The colours fresh. The edges with light surface abrasion from the frame. Mainly in the upper left, light signs of shrinkage and in a few places, mainly lower left, some fine craquelure. In the lower left image area as well as at the level of the boy's forehead, faint scuff marks; in the lower image area, in places faint greyish soiling spots. To the right of the father's eyes, one small, barely noticeable retouching (2,3 x 0,5 cm); no further retouchings or repairs visible under ultraviolet light
