In the Best of Hands

Without conservators, art and cultural heritage could not be preserved. Their work is indispensable to Grisebach as well. The profession straddles the line between science and craftsmanship, requiring a high level of technical expertise as well as the utmost precision. Above all, however, it thrives on a deep appreciation for each individual work.

Form Through Touch

In the 1960s, Yves Klein began his “Anthropométries” – imprints of painted female bodies. “Anthropométrie SU 30,” in International Klein Blue (IKB), pink, and black, belongs to this group of works and holds a special place within the so-called “Suaires” – for its exact creation process remains unclear to this day. The works, curated by Walter Smerling, impressively demonstrate how natural spaces can become a resonating body for art. Amid trees and meadows, they engage in a multifaceted dialogue about material, scale, and humanity.
