Gelatin silver print, 1946, printed in preparation for the HCB Retrospective at MoMA, New York (1947). 23,4 × 34,8 cm (9 ¼ × 13 ¾ in.). Photographer's copyright stamp: „PHOTO HENRI CARTIER-BRESSON / MENTION OBLIGATOIRE" on the reverse as well as inscribed and numbered by various hands in red ballpoint pen, red crayon and pencil. [2021]

Condition Report: In very good condition. Faintly satin finish heavy paper. Blacklight tested, no fluorescence. Upon close inspection in raking light, a few short (approx. 1 cm each) faint, barely noticeable crease marks: left edge of image in the center, skirt of the woman on the left (there also a tiny matte fingerprint, approx. 0.5 cm), hand on umbrella, right edge in the center, lower right corner area. Each only visible at close range in raking light. Single tiny dot-shaped foxing stains on the edges
