The path shown here in the Russian colony Alexandrowka in Potsdam, likely running from southeast to northwest, was repeatedly depicted by Philipp Franck between 1935 and 1939. Almut von Tresckow notes in the catalogue raisonné that there are at least nine variations of this motif.
