Gouache and black ink on tracing paper. 38,5 × 19,5 cm (15 ⅛ × 7 ⅝ in.). Monogrammed and dated in pen and India ink lower right: WP 41. [3094] Framed

We would like to thank Dr. Andreas Neufert for confirming the authenticity of the goauche and for kindly providing additional information. The gouache served as the model for a series of 45 woodcuts, which were presumably produced in connection with the magazine DYN (1942–44) or the 1951 Dynaton exhibition at the San Francisco Museum of Art.
