Oil on canvas, in a painted wooden artist’s frame. 160,5 × 130 cm (framed: 172,7 × 140,5 cm) (63 ¼ × 51 ⅛ in. (framed: 68 × 55 ⅜ in.)). Monogrammed lower right in white chalk: ML. On the reverse, inscribed, signed, and dated in black chalk: OHNE TITEL MAILÄNDER KOMPOSITION Markus Lüpertz 1979/80 (80 crossed out). On an accompanying photographic expertise, twice signed, with differing date and title: Markus Lüpertz 19/76 Milano Markus Lüpertz. [3119]
