Brush and India ink, washed, on paper (from a book). 30,4 × 21,8 cm (12 × 8 ⅝ in.). Signed and dated in pencil lower right: HMPechstein 1930. On the reverse: reproduction (ill. „50“) from a book (couple on a staircase, theatre scene or historical illustration). Catalogue raisonné: Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity by Max K. Pechstein, Hamburg, of July 1990 (in copy). [3369] Framed

Condition Report: Fine, harmonious overall appearance. The sheet edges without losses; isolated slightly dusty. In the lower right corner, an expertly restored, barely visible tear (0,5 cm). At the left edge below the centre, the paper surface slightly roughened and thinned. The paper recto and verso with uneven minor time staining. In the right margin below the centre, a faint blueish discolouration (1,5 x 3 cm). On the reverse, along the edges in places, abrasion and thinning of the upper surface due to the removal of former adhesive mounting. In places, pinpoint foxing. In the upper corners remnants of white paper tape
