Pen and India ink and pencil on heavy paper. 25 × 49,6 cm (9 ⅞ × 19 ½ in.). Inscribed with the Dix monogram and dated lower right: 1933. Titled on the reverse: Wolkenverhängtes Tal. Catalogue raisonné: Lorenz IE 7.8.1. [3369] Framed

Condition Report: Fine, harmonious overall appearance. The sheet edges without tears or losses. The upper left corner with two faint, diagonal crease marks (up to 4 cm). The margins with a few faint shell-shaped handling creases. The paper recto and verso white-primed; the surface with light differences in surface shine visible in raking light. The ink application in places slightly uneven due to the artist's technique. Each corner with a minuscule mounting hole. On the reverse, along the upper edge, remnants of various former paper mountings
