Mixed media on canvas. 60 × 73 cm (23 ⅝ × 28 ¾ in.). Signed and dated at lower edge: Erwin Bechtold 59. Inscribed in black brush with the work number on the reverse: 59/11. On the stretcher, a customs stamp of the Federal Republic of Germany. Catalogue raisonné: Limberg 72. [3387] Framed

Condition Report: Fine, harmonious overall appearance. The canvas is not relined and is mounted on the original stretcher. At upper edge on the right as well as in a few places along the lateral edges, minuscule paint chippings. Below the centre of the image, one small spot with concentrated hairline craquelure (2 x 4,5 cm). Ultraviolet light reveals no retouchings or repairs
