Oil on Hessian. 144,5 × 115,5 cm (56 ⅞ × 45 ½ in.). Signed and dated lower right: Brust-59. On the stretcher at top and bottom, each signed and inscribed with address information and inscribed with differing titled in black felt-tip pen: Karl F. Brust. München 23, Wilhelmstrasse 11, 339902 "Vorstoss". With an exhibition label Munich 1959 (see below) and a lender’s card filled out and signed by the artist (attached with a cord to the stretcher ). [3387] Framed

Condition Report: Fine, harmonious overall appearance. The colours fresh. The canvas is not relined and is mounted on the original stretcher. Along the outer edges, black textile adhesive tape. At corners as well as along the edges, in places slight scuff marks and small paint chippings. In places, due to the artist's technique, paint shrinkage and spots with slight, concentrated craquelure. Ultraviolet light reveals no retouchings or repairs
