The 2026 Contemporary Art Winter Auction brings together notable works from the international art scene dating back to the 1950s. The ZERO movement is prominently represented with works by Heinz Mack, Otto Piene, and Günther Uecker, while works by Gotthard Graubner and Rupprecht Geiger showcase the diversity of German colour-field painting. Another focal point is postwar European modernism, featuring works by Gerhard Richter, Anselm Kiefer, Sigmar Polke, and Per Kirkeby. The spectrum of American art ranges from American Minimal Art to the Conceptual Art of Hans Haacke and Land Art, featuring photographs of James Turrell’s visionary “Roden Crater Project” and works on paper by Richard Long. Sculpture is also represented by a diverse range of works, from Isa Genzken’s iconic “Weltempfänger” to Tony Cragg’s “Relatives” and works by Tatiana Trouvé.
