About the auction

This summer’s ‘Online Only Modern & Contemporary Art’ auction holds numerous highlights for you in stock:

In delicate pencil drawings, Lyonel Feininger brings the Berlin cityscape of the early 1900s to life, while the vibrant era of the Weimar Republic is captured in the watercolours and drawings by artists such as Carl Lohse, Jeanne Mammen and Rudolf Schlichter.

A wide range of artistic approaches is brought together in the Post War section: From early Informel works by Otto Greis, Bernard Schultze and Fred Thieler; the constructivist colour palette of Günther Fruhtrunk; works from the Zero movement by Otto Piene and Turi Simetis, to the visionary computer art of Herbert W. Franke.

One of this auction’s highlights are the vividly designed ceramic fruit bowls and cups by A. R. Renck, complemented by his prints and other works on paper.

Key works from the late 20th and early 21st centuries include pieces by Imi Knoebel, Andreas Schulze, Cornelia Schleime and Günther Uecker, among many others.

Have fun browsing and discovering!
