Woodcut on wove paper. 22,5 × 15,1 cm (34 × 27 cm) (8 ⅞ × 6 in. (13 ⅜ × 10 ⅝ in.)). Signed. Inscribed by another hand (probably I. B. Neumann) lower left: Vorm Spiegel [engl.: Before the Mirror]. Catalogue raisonné: Hofmaier 258 III B a (of III B b). One of 35 proofs of the unnumbered edition. [3683]

Condition Report: Harmonious overall appearance. The sheet margins trimmed. The sheet edges without tears or losses. The paper unevenly slightly time stained and, overall, slightly stained. The surface slightly dusty. In the left margin and at upper edge right of centre, each liquid stains. The paper slightly scuffed and in the sheet corners with faint nicks. On the reverse, in two sheet corners paper tape remnants of an old mounting
