Watercolour over pen and India ink on Japan paper. 25 × 33,6 cm (9 ⅞ × 13 ¼ in.). Signed in pen and black ink lower right: Nolde. On the reverse: Double Portrait. Watercolour. Accompanied by a certificate by Dr. Manfred Reuther, Stiftung Seebüll Ada und Emil Nolde, from 17 March 2008 (in copy). The watercolour is registered as number Fr.A.2807 in the archive of the Stiftung Seebüll Ada und Emil Nolde and will be included in the catalogue raisonné of watercolours and drawings of Emil Nolde.
