Oil on canvas. 50 × 40 cm (19 ⅝ × 15 ¾ in.). Monogrammed and dated lower right: JM 09. Titled as well as signed and dated five times each in black felt-tip pen on the reverse: „DAS „GOLDENE KALB“ WAR SICH SELBST ZU BUNT, SO BUNT WIE KEIN „BUNTER HUND“ IM FRESSNAPF TANZT, wie „kleine schwarze KATZE“ JMeese 2009. Inscribed in black felt-tip pen with the work number on the stretcher: MEE/M 2254/00. [3339]

Condition Report: In good condition. The canvas is not relined and is mounted on the original stretcher. The canvas due to the heavy pastose oil paint somewhat deformed. The surfaces in a few places slightly dusty. Ultraviolet light reveals no retouchings or repairs. Fine, harmonious overall appearance
