Information

Gouache on laid paper. 104,7 × 78,2 cm (41 ¼ × 30 ¾ in.). Signed and dated in brown coloured pencil lower right: Bach 1992. Inscribed and signed in brown coloured pencil on the reverse: Im April 1992 in Dakar Elvira Bach. [3402] Framed

Condition Report: Very fine, harmonious overall appearance. The colours fresh. The sheet edges without tears or losses. The paper, mainly in the margins, slightly wavy due to the artist's technique. In the upper right corner, a slight diagonal crease (11 cm); at the centre of the right edge, a darkish pinpoint scuff mark. In the sphere, a small pasty drop of pigment burst open. On the reverse, with traces from the artist's workshop. Along the edges, at multiple places remnants of white paper tape from former mounting; atop, remounted with paper adhesive strips onto the support cardboard
