Drypoint on yellowish firm Japan. 30 × 25,4 cm (38,2 × 31,9 cm) (11 ¾ × 10 in. (15 × 12 ½ in.)). Signed and inscribed. Catalogue raisonné: Hofmaier 129 IV B a (of IV C b). One of 40 impressions on this paper from an edition of 100 signed copies. Sheet 7 (of 19) from the set: Gesichter. Munich, Verlag der Marées Gesellschaft, R. Piper & Co., 1919 (with the blindstamp). [3068]

Condition Report: Harmonious overall appearance. Good, strong print. The sheet edges without tears or losses. The paper in the mat unevenly slightly time stained. In the lower right margin, the sheet faintly creased. In places, minuscule pinpoint foxing; in the motif on the right below the centre, a light brownish pinpoint discolouration. On the reverse, in the corners, remnants of various former mountings
