Gouache on light cardboard. 28,3 × 20,9 cm (11 ⅛ × 8 ¼ in.). Inscribed, signed, inscribed with address information and titled in blue coloured pencil on the reverse: Oben Carl Buchheister Hannover Weidetorstr 49 Komposition P 41a/1950. Catalogue raisonné: Buchheister/Kemp 55. [3207] Framed

Condition Report: Fine, harmonious overall appearance. The colours fresh. The sheet edges without tears or losses; slightly concave. The lower left corner with a short crease (3,2 cm); here the upper paper layer slightly cracked. In the upper right sheet area, 3 small pinpoint overpaintings. Under ultraviolet light, no further retouchings or repairs visible. On the reverse, uneven slight time staining; in places slightly stained. In the upper corners as well as along the vertical edges, each remnants of Japan paper from former mounting. In the upper corners, remounted with Japan paper onto the support cardboard
