Information

Oil on canvas. 41 x 30,5 cm (16 ⅛ x 12 in.). Signed lower left and (retroactively) dated: Burliuk 1910 [!]. Framed

We would like to thank Myroslav Shkandrij, Winnipeg (Canada), for kindly confirming the authenticity of the work.

This work is a later repetition of the painting "Kopf (Bildnis der Mutter)", 1910/1911. The earlier version was included in the 1911 exhibition of "Der Blaue Reiter" in Munich and was probably destroyed in 1917..

Private collection, Northern Germany
