Information

Bronze with dark-brown patina. Height: 52 cm (20 ½ in.). Inscribed on the plinth behind the right foot with the artist's signet. On the reverse at the short side of the plinth the foundry mark: GUSS RICH. BARTH BLN. MARIENDORF. Catalogue raisonné: Rudloff 289 (height: 60 cm). From the edition of three casts. This cast was probably formerly in the Pelikan Collection, Hanover (we would like to thank Dr. Arie Hartog from the Gerhard-Marcks-Haus, Bremen, for kindly providing additional information).
