Pastel and charcoal on brown paper, laid down on canvas. 99 x 149,5 cm (39 x 58 ⅞ in.). Catalogue raisonné: Accompanied by a confirmation by Ramuntcho Matta, Paris, the son of the artist, who has registered the pastel as number DRA051F918 in his archive. Minimal tears, losses and folds. Framed

The work is part of a set of works, which deal with the subject of the spy law suit against Julius and Ethel Rosenberg which took place in the USA. The Rosenbergs were sentenced to death in 1951 and despite major world-wide protest they were executed in 1953.
