On the reverse stamp, heavily faded (visible under ultraviolet light): „FEDERAL ART PROJECT, ‘Changing New York’, PHOTOGRAPHS BY BERENICE ABBOTT“ as well as photographer's stamp: „photograph berenice abbott 50 commerce st. new york city“. Inscribed in pencil: „Tri Boro Barber School, 264 Bowery, Manhattan, Neg-24, Code: 1A 2 and IIIH, Taken: October 24, 1935“ as well as inscribed and numbered in pencil by another hand. In the margins selective minor losses of gelatin layer.
