Documents: 16 written responses from the Interior Ministry to queries regarding the publication of appeals for donations (1895) / circa 80 negative responses from German cities, communities and counties regarding the “attempt by the German Patriotic League to establish a monument to the Battle of Leipzig“ (18. March 1896) / 16 responses from the supervisory school authorities / Ministry of Education and the Arts regarding a “penny collecting“ fundraising campaign in schools for the 100th anniversary of the birth Kaiser Wilhelm I (1897) / a bound file with correspondence with the Prussian Interior Ministry in Sachsen regarding the “Geldlotterie“ (1901-1903) / “Discussions regarding the construction of the monument to the Battle of Leipzig“ (22 handwritten pages) / correspondence with the Patriotic League dating from between 1922 and 1938.

By 1949, with the league’s dissolution, additional documentary materials relating to it were abandoned; in 1987 a large quantity went to the Sächsische Staatsarchiv Leipzig (archive signature 21773); further materials from the archive are today in the Stadtgeschichtliches Museum, Leipzig.
