Information

30 Vintages or early gelatin silver prints. From 15,8 x 22,4 cm to 16,6 x 22,5 cm, from 21,5 x 15 cm to 22,5 x 16,5 cm (6 ¼ x 8 ⅞ in. to 6 ½ x 8 ⅞ in. and from 8 ½ x 5 ⅞ in. to 8 ⅞ x 6 ½ in.). Each photograph mounted by its reverse edges or corners to the firm buff paper of a page's front. These together in a hand-prepared and hand-bound volume of light brown calves leather (32 x 32,3 x 2 cm). On two pages of the album, under the print of Renger-Patzsch, annotated in pencil „Hufbeschlag“ and „2 P(ferde)“. On the inner side of the album’s back cover the embssing, lower right: „MODELL SCHOY ESSEN“. With accompanying separate title page of laid paper, inscribed in brown ink in a foreign hand with the lyrics of the German lied „Sachpfeifenlied von Bauernstand“. Unique work.
