Oak, carved, painted; remains of the original gilt; iron mountings. 37 x 50 x 28 cm (14 ⅝ x 19 ⅝ x 11 in.). Brand: 226 T / Affixed label: U17 / Customs stamp: Douane Centrale Exportation Paris. Very fine virtuoso sculptural work. Gilt largely lost, some remains of the red bolus, raised lilies removed from the coat of arms, breakage to the peak of the volute above the mask.
