Mahogany, remnants of paint. 36,5 x 25 cm (14 ⅜ x 9 ⅞ in.). Label with provenance information: Eine Palette von dem berühmten Bildnissmaler Prof. Anton Graff. geb. zu Winterthur 1730, gest. zu Dre[sd]en 1813. Dieselbe ging in die Hände des Sohnes über, der Landscha[ft]smaler war. Aus dessen Nachlasse erstant sie der Land=schaftsmaler Prof. Robert Kummer, welcher sie viele Ja[hre] la[ng] in Gebrauch hatte. Er schenkte mir diselbe auf meine Bitte am 30. Dez. 1881 für meine Sammlung. Günth. Reibisch ('A palette of the famous portrait painter Prof. Anton Graff. Born Winterthur 1730, died Dresden 1813. The palette passed to his son, who was a landscape painter. Acquired from his estate by the landscape painter Prof. Robert Kummer, who used the palette for many years. He gifted this to me upon my request on 30 December 1881 for my collection. Günth. Reibisch'). Framed
