Information

Majolica (light red-brown ceramic, yellow glaze). Height: 66 cm (26 in.). Titled lower front: Sieg. Signed and dated on the reverse at the bottom: B Hoetger 1912. Inside with the incised mark „TKK“ (Zühlsdorff, Lexicon of Ceramics Marks, 1994, no. 1.1655). Catalogue raisonné: Drost 280. Executed by Max Laeuger in the art department the Tonwerke Kandern. One of at least six copies (only other surviving yellow example in the Oldenburger Landesmuseum, inv. no. 193/22). Minimal losses in the glaze.
