Oil on canvas. 132 x 170 cm (52 x 66 ⅞ in.). Signed and dated lower right: Schumacher 57. On the stretcher titled with brush in black and dated in ballpoint pen: Titel: Barbaros 10.IV.57. On the reverse a fragmentary label of the 29th Venice Bienniale, 1958. On the stretcher labels of the exhibitions Berlin 1957, Hanover 1961, Münster and Venice 1962 (see below). Catalogue raisonné: The work is recorded in the archive of the Emil Schumacher Stiftung, Hagen, as number 0/94. Framed
