Brush in grey and brown over pencil on paper, laid down on cardboard. 33,2 x 49,4 cm (42,8 x 59,1 cm) (13 ⅛ x 19 ½ in. (16 ⅞ x 23 ¼ in.)). Signed lower left (presumably at a later date): A Achenbach. Above this inscribed and dated: Gudvangen. : Juni 1839 Norwegen. On the reverse the stamp: Andreas Achenbach Düsseldorf Nachlass-Ausstellung Städtische Kunsthalle. Time staining, minor additional stains. Closed tears at the sheet edges.
