Oil on panel. 39,5 × 29 cm (15 ½ × 11 ⅜ in.). On the reverse on a damaged slip of paper: Portrait de Milord et de Milady son épouse / On the reverse in black ink: 2524 / 6 / stencilled: 03 BH/ remains of a seal. Catalogue raisonné: Accompanied by a certificate by Wilhelm von Bode, Berlin, dated 5 December 1923, who finds the image better than Caspar Netscher, and who notes that the manner of painting reminds him of Adrian Hannemann and Conzales Coques (in the original) / With a certificate by Cornelius Müller Hofstede, Berlin, dated 10 June 1964, as Van der Merck (in the original).
