Hans Ottomeyer, Ottobrunn, attributes the furniture to the work of Johann Andreas Gärtner (königlich-bayerischer Hofbauintendant), who decorated Queen Caroline of Bavaria's sleeping chambers in her Munich residency with almost identical furniture between 1806 and 1808.
