Information

Red cardboard binding with 16 drawings in crayon and pencil, one of them with watercolour, on 33 sheets of laid paper. 22,3 × 17,7 cm (8 ¾ × 7 in.). With a confirmation on the front endpaper by Dr. Erich Wiese. From 1929 until 1933 Dr. Wiese was the Director of the Schlesisches Museum der Bildenden Künste in Breslau and thereafter, until 1945, an antiquarian in Hirschberg. On the flyleaf with a list in pencil of travel expenses compiled by the artist. Catalogue raisonné: Fröhlich p. 315 („Darmstädter Skizzenbuch, verschollen oder aufgelöst“). The cover with handling marks, the endpapers with slight foxing.
