Gouache and collage on paper (from a sketch book), laid down on cardboard. 34,6 × 24,8 cm (13 ⅝ × 9 ¾ in.). On the reverse with a Cyrillic inscribed label and with the round stamp in blue: Blauer Vogel Theater Berlin. Minor time staining, minor paint losses.

„Der Blaue Vogel“ was a famous Russian theatre in Berlin in the early 1920s, for whose cast Tchelitchev desigend several costumes. For Else Lasker-Schüler „Der Blaue Vogel [...] was the most wonderful thing one could see here on earth“..
