Watercolour, opaque white, brush and pen in black ink as well as pencil on paper. 33,7 × 25,1 cm (13 ¼ × 9 ⅞ in.). Inscribed and dated upper left: Muckendorf den 17 August 1817. Inscribed upper right: graue/bl. Schatten. Confirmed in pencil on the reverse lower right by the artist's brother Friedrich Philipp Reinhold: Von Heinrich Reinhold. F. Reinhold. A fragment of a sketch of a landscape in pencil on the reverse.
