Pen in grey-black and brush in brown over pencil on laid paper, laid down on blue laid paper. 18,9 × 23,2 cm (24 × 28,3 cm) (7 ½ × 9 ⅛ in. (9 ½ × 11 ⅛ in.)). Inscribed in pen and black ink lower right on the support sheet: Goethe. inscribed in pencil on the reverse in the centre of the sheet: 199 5. Upper left inscribed and dated in pen and black ink: Johannes Heinrich Strack [Ber?]lin, d. 6t. March 1830. The support sheet in the margin with time staining and skillfully repaired.
