Vintage. Gelatin silver print. 24,6 × 20 cm (9 ⅝ × 7 ⅞ in.). On the reverse agency stamp with copyright note: „PLEASE CREDIT ALFRED EISENSTAEDT - PIX“, a copyright stamp of the „Time Inc.“, date stamp: „USED IN LIFE JUL 21 1941“ and numerical stamp: „8979“ as well as further stamp: „Innertube floating Somerset Wisc". Inscribed, numbered and layout markings by various hands in pencil, blue, red and green crayon. With slight handling marks.

LIFE, vol. 11, no. 3 (21.7.1941), p. 84 (there with caption: Improvised bridge table is set up by enterprising floaters who play a few rubbers on their way downstream. Dummy at left is available to steady the table and bottles.)
