In 1980, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the official completion of Cologne Cathedral, Claes Oldenburg bought a souvenir of the cathedral made of alumium and covered it with plaster and paint. The work was planned as part of an edition, which Oldenburg did not continue, making this object unique..
