Pencil, heightened with white / setting grey-brown washed, partially heightened in gold on tracing paper. 23,7 × 42,4 cm (9 ⅜ × 16 ¾ in.). Inscribed on the lower right in pen (presumably after 1845): W.v.Schadow / each inscribed on the lower centre in gold: “Freuet euch mit mir, denn ich habe mein Schaf gefunden, welches verloren war. Ev.St.L. XV.6.“ / “So sage ich euch, freuen sich die Engel Gottes ueber einen Sünder, der Buße thut. Ev.St.L. XV.10.“. Catalogue raisonné: Grewe 17.2. Framed
