Gelatin silver print by Gerd Sander, 1986. Agfa paper. 25,2 × 19,3 cm (9 ⅞ × 7 ⅝ in.). Photographer's blindstamp in the image's lower left: “AUG. SANDER KÖLN–LINDENTHAL”. Narrow black ink border all around. Inscribed in pencil by an unknown hand on the verso. At upper edge mounted to cardboard (43.8 x 33.8 cm), thereupon on the reverse inscribed in pencil by an unknown hand and label of the August Sander Archive: “AUGUST SANDER, MENSCHEN DES ZWANZIGSTEN JAHRHUNDERTS” / “© COPYRIGHT 1986 AUGUST SANDER ARCHIVE, 51 GREENE ST., NEW YORK, N.Y. 10013”.
