Vintage or early gelatin silver print. 24,9 × 17 cm (25,6 × 20,2 cm) (9 ¾ × 6 ¾ in. (10 ⅛ × 8 in.)). Stamp: "RESETTLEMENT ADMINISTRATION" on the reverse, therein the photographer's stamp: "LEE". Copyright stamp of the "F.S.A. FARM SECURITY ADMINISTRATION", therein the photographer's stamp, and a further stamp of the "Farm Security Administration, Washington, D.C.". Inscriptions by various hands in pencil as well as a numerical stamp. Remains of a typewritten paper strip: "A child of a farm laborer in Iowa 'is' in need of medical attention. [...] from an attack of pneumonia.".
