Frottage, coloured chalk and pencil on Arches wove paper. 33,7 × 25,3 cm (13 ¼ × 10 in.). Signed in pencil lower right . Catalogue raisonné: Spies/Metken 4560. Study for one of the 36 colour lithographs from the 1970 published set of illustrations: Lewis Carolls Wunderhorn. Framed

Condition Report: Fine, harmonious overall appearance. The sheet edges without tears. At the lower edge left of centre a minuscule loss (0,3 x 0,2 cm) and slightly bumped. The paper with irregular minor time staining and fully laid down onto the support cardboard. The sheet with isolated faint scuff marks and pale brown finger stains. Ultraviolet light reveals no retouchings or repairs
