Watercolour and pencil on thin paper. 21,8 × 27,5 cm (8 ⅝ × 10 ⅞ in.). Lower rights signed and dated in pencil: Bargheer 49. On the reverse signed, titled and dated (both crossed out) and again titled in pencil: Edoardo Bargheer, incontro di due scorfonisci, 49 Fische. Framed

Condition Report: Harmonious overall appearance. In the upper left corner a tear (2,2 cm) and the lower right corner with a loss (1,4 x 0,9 cm). All four corners backed with adhesive tape, the paper discoloured due by the adhesive. The sheet overall with pale time staining and slightly undulated due to the artist's technique. Mainly in the lower margins minuscule light brown foxing. Ultraviolet light reveals no retouchings or repairs. On the reverse in the upper corners small remnants of former paper mounting; above mounted with Japan paper onto the support cardboard
