Information

Gouache on black wove paper. 30,8 × 24,1 cm (12 ⅛ × 9 ½ in.). In the lower right signied: Fleischmann. On the reverse dated and inscribed in wax crayon in light blue: 5/58 32 (number circled).

Condition Report: Fine, harmonious overall appearance. The colours fresh and luminous. The sheet edges without tears. In the upper right corner a minuscule loss (0,4 x 0,2 cm). Mainly in the upper margin isolated faint scuff marks with subtle differences in surface shine, noticeable in raking light. In the lower sheet half a faint horizontal pressure line. In the lower right area of the sheet as well as at the centre of the right edge each small traces of liquid glue. Ultraviolet light reveals no retouchings or repairs. On the reverse in places slight scuff marks. In the corners as well as at each edge in the centre spots of liquid glue and isolated thin threads of glue of a former mount. In the upper right corner a small paper thinning spot due to adhesive removal
